Purpose:

The purpose of this challenge is to get writers back into the game or motivate them to continue writing through the winter and into the spring. The idea is to give writers unique, fun, and different types of ideas to inspire them. We wanted to make a challenge that will actually be challenging no matter what and to see and praise the results. The main goal is to get people to try something new ( a new way of writing, a new way of thinking, a new type of writing they’ve never persued before etc.)

NEW!: Renee has created a new LiveJournal community for participants and readers of the 2009 HGC to join. The purpose of the site is for participants to post notes to let readers know that stories have been updated, or to post ideas and thoughts to receive feedback. This site will not be a place to post your actual stories, but only as a means of communication among each other. Click here to join!
